Learning Tunes by Ear I: Beginners (Fall 2024) (Online)
Anne Johnson, Thursdays, 6pm–7pm
8 weekly sessions beginning September 26
Music theorist and multi-instrumentalist Anne Johnson will help you learn to recognize and latch on to patterns commonly found in Irish melodies. She'll also share some tricks for figuring out how certain notes are likely to behave in certain keys, which can help you to anticipate what comes next in a tune. This class is open to anyone who would like to get better at learning instrumental music without notation.
